Ben Morris
1992
A product of the Newcastle Falcons Academy, Ben Morris signed for Wasps in 2018 after impressing Dai Young with his performances alongside Wasps Transition Coach and former openside-flanker Matt Everard in Nottingham Rugby’s back-row.
The 6ft 3in forward, who has also operated in the second-row on occasions, began his rugby with Leeds Carnegie while still at school.
He was then picked up by Dean Richards’ Falcons while studying at Newcastle University and spent a couple of seasons on loan at National League Blaydon during which he won England Counties honours.
Morris moved south to Nottingham in 2015, only to spend the 2014/15 season at his new club’s Championship rivals Rotherham Titans on a dual-registration basis.
He became a regular member of the starting line-up at Lady Bay, working under his future Wasps colleague Ian Costello.
His first season at Ricoh Arena saw him feature 19 times in the Black and Gold.
