Amy Truesdale

Amy Truesdale has had quite the impressive medal tally over the years and is best known for her World Championship wins in 2014 and 2017. The Chester-born athlete was initially encouraged to take up the martial art by her dad for self-defence alongside her sister, Chloe. Before receiving National Lottery funding and joining the World Class Performance Programme full time, Truesdale had a brief stint in retail and was also a coach in the TAGB style of the sport. Truesdale’s primary aim is to get selected to represent GB at the upcoming Games in Tokyo 2020. She is also a keen advocate for disability sport and has made it her mission to raise awareness.
