GB Para Taekwondo fighter
Taekwondo fighter, Amy Truesdale has had quite the impressive medal tally over the years and is best known for her World Championship wins in 2014 and 2017. The Chester-born athlete was initially encouraged to take up the martial art by her dad for self-defence alongside her sister, Chloe. Before receiving National Lottery funding and joining the World Class Performance Programme full time, Truesdale had a brief stint in retail and was also a coach in the TAGB style of the sport. Truesdale’s primary aim is to get selected to represent GB at the upcoming Games in Tokyo 2020. She is also a keen advocate for disability sport and has made it her mission to raise awareness.
