Peter Chase, an Irish International cricketer, is a right-arm medium-fast bowler who also bats right handed. Peter currently has 43 international caps to his name and has previously played for Durham County Cricket Club. He currently plays for Leinster Lightning, a first-class team within the Irish domestic system. He made a terrific impression in his first county forays for Durham late in 2014, taking five wickets against Nottinghamshire on debut and a total of 11 wickets in his first 3 County Championship games. Some notable international performances include taking 3-44 against England in an ODI at Bristol in 2017, and taking 4-35 against India in a T20I at Malahide in 2018, which included the wickets of Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. In addition to his cricket career, Chase has earned a first class honours degree in Sport Science and Health from Dublin City University, and is currently in the process of completing his masters degree in Sport Management from University College Dublin, highlighting his love for all things sport.
