All rounder Claire Nicholas (33) was born in Swansea, South Wales and played boys club, county and men’s cricket until she discovered the women’s game. At the age of 15, she broke into the Wales Senior Women’s team of which she’s been a member for 18 years. Nicholas has since earned over 200 caps for Wales and captained the team over 6 seasons. In 2017, Nicholas was included in the Western Storm KSL team where she made a huge impact and finished the tournament as the best non international bowler. Nicholas remained a vital part of the Storm bowling attack and went on to secure two KSL titles over three years with the region. Following on from here success in the KSL Nicholas was named in the Welsh Fire Hundred ball franchise for 2020. She is also passionate about sharing her knowledge and passion of the game with others and has coached Welsh age groups at U12 and U15 level.
